What time do tours depart?

All tours depart at dawn, typically around 7:00 AM. This is when the rainforest is coolest, quietest, and most alive. You'll be back before the heat of the day and before the crowds arrive.

How many passengers per tour?

Maximum 6 passengers. Every tour is private to your family or group, no strangers, no sharing.

Are child seats provided?

Yes. We provide AS/NZS 1754 certified child seats and booster seats at no extra charge. Request the appropriate seats when booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

Tours: 7+ days notice for a full refund, 24 hours–7 days for 80% refund, less than 24 hours no refund. Transfers: 24+ hours for full refund, 8–24 hours 80% refund, less than 2 hours no refund.

Do you pick up from Port Douglas or Cairns?

Yes. We pick up from Cairns, Northern Beaches, Palm Cove, Port Douglas, and surrounding areas. A pickup surcharge applies for locations outside Kuranda/Smithfield.

Can you accommodate mobility needs?

Accepted Answer

Our Toyota Land Cruiser requires a step-up entry (approx. 45cm). We can assist with boarding, transport foldable wheelchairs, and adjust the itinerary for your pace. See our Access & Inclusion page for full details.

Is there anything I need to bring?

Just comfortable shoes, sun protection, and a sense of adventure. We supply everything else: meals, refreshments, specialist equipment, and child seats if needed.

What if it rains?

Light rain makes the rainforest even more atmospheric, waterfalls are fuller and wildlife is more active. It's a tropical rainforest, so rain is part of the experience. We tour in all weather.

Can I design my own tour?

Absolutely. Our bespoke tour option lets you choose destinations, pace, and interests. Submit a request at /tours/bespoke and David will craft a personalised itinerary.

How do I pay?

Accepted Answer

We accept credit/debit cards and digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) via Stripe. Bookings 28+ days out require a deposit with the balance due 7 days prior. Closer bookings require full payment at booking.

Do you offer transfers without a tour?

Yes. We provide private transfers between Cairns, Northern Beaches, Kuranda, and surrounding areas. Visit our Transfers page for common routes and pricing.
